Functions

The Joint Committee, as a body responsible for monitoring the organization and delivery of teaching activities, tutoring, and all other services provided to students, pursuant to Article 48.4 of the Statute of the University of Genoa:
a) submits to the competent bodies proposals aimed at improving the delivery of teaching;
b) drafts and transmits to the Academic Senate an annual report on the effectiveness of teaching, tutoring, and all other services provided to students, also making use of objective evaluation tools; the report is likewise transmitted to the Dean and to the relevant teaching structures;
c) issues opinions regarding the establishment, discontinuation, and suppression of degree programmes;
d) reports to the Dean, to the Coordinator of the Degree Programme Council, and to the Head of the Department to which the programme is assigned, any irregularities identified in the conduct of teaching activities;
e) performs any other functions entrusted to it under the applicable regulations.
